Issue #43 - Thursday 27th January
Waste is hiring a Writer to create social content for a music streaming platform, looks like work is available remotely and it’s 20 hrs a week.
Sifted need a Digital Editor to edit tech news and manage their website, and it's remote
Positive News is looking for an Editor for Maternity Cover - 4-5 days a week and remote!
Zag Daily are looking for an Editor for 20 hours a week. You’ll be looking after their news, features, and their newsletter on micro-mobility and it pays £1,250 a month.
The BBC is looking for Camera Journalist to help with broadcast and digital media output - Glasgow based and hours can vary based on need
The BBC is also looking for a Journalist to join the Nine newsroom - Glasgow based role but be quick! Applications close on the 31st January.
STV is looking for a Junior Creative Producer as well a Multimedia Producer - both roles are Glasgow based with a deadline of the 31st January.
The BBC is still looking for freelance writers for both News Writers and Sports Editors
Discover Britain Magazine and Scotland Magazine are both open for pitches. Rates start at 20ppw.
Fodor's travel guide is taking pitches, no specifics so anything travel and there’s a handy pitching guide too! - Up to $400 / £295 per piece.
Insider is looking for pitches from people who’s careers have changed drastically during the pandemic, as well as anyone who’s already feeling burned out! Pays from £270 a piece.
Trench magazine is on the lookout for interesting feature ideas about British music and/or culture
PinkNews are looking for pitches ahead of LGBT History Month in February.
Also looking for LGBT history month pitches is Huck Magazine- they also have a very comprehensive guide on what to pitch too.
Anna Walker at Reader's Digest is very keen for your love and romance pitches in time for Valentine's Day.
Mental Health is looking for pitches! Only condition is you read the work on their site first, anything goes if it fits in!
Axis studios is looking for a Digital Marketing Coordinator, Glasgow and remote work available and a passion for the creative world essential!
Close the Gap are hiring a Communications and Administration Assistant you’ll be handling a mix of social media and general admin tasks - 28 hours a week, Glasgow based office (but currently remote)
Also looking for an Admin Assistant is Rockstar Games - This one is a full-time role based in Edinburgh
The 2050 Climate Group is looking for a Communications Co-ordinator! It’s a full-time position based out of their Edinburgh office (but currently remote)
Edinburgh University Press is looking for a Journals Publishing Assistant. Based in their Edinburgh office but look open to remote/flexible hours.
BBC is looking for a Team Assistant for 6-month Fixed-Term contract to help with BBC Children in Need - Currently home based but moving to Glasgow Quay soon
